PAST/CURRENT ROLE(S) ASSESSEMENT

One of the biggest mistakes people make when beginning their career planning process is that they immediately begin to think about their future. They think about the potential promotion to the next level, what opportunities are available in the job market, and how they take who they are and mold it to whatever seems attractive. And shortly after they start taking action, they get stuck. Or they successfully accept a role, only to realize later it wasn’t the right fit – oops! In Module 1, we fix this by starting the process with an assessment of how past and present roles have supported or hindered YOU and your life goals. By achieving clarity on who you were and who you are, you will be able create a more accurate picture of who you want to be and how a role should best support you in that endeavor.

Create your List of Life Goals so that you have a detailed understanding of what components of your life need specific support
Learn about Employee Enablement Factors and create your own rubric by which you can evaluate past and current roles
Evaluate past and current roles in a way you have never before – using a points system with a quantitative outcome
Reflect on the results and determine what role components must exist for your future goals to be supported
